St. Johns Ship Constructing held a keel laying ceremony on 18 January 2023
for the second of the collection of aluminum crew switch vessels (CTVs) used
to service the offshore wind farm business. The announcement follows the
Jones Act shipyard’s acquisition by Americraft Marine final Might. The crew
switch vessels can be servicing U.S. offshore wind initiatives for building,
operations, and upkeep.

The Chartwell Bold aluminum catamarans have the capability to move
24 personnel to and from wind generators. The vessels had been commissioned by
the Rhode Island-based Atlantic Wind Transfers (AWT), which participated
within the ceremony that continues within the St. Johns’ partnership with AWT
to construct future-focused vessels.

represents the second Chartwell designed Bold now underneath building
as we work exhausting to maintain facility and infrastructure enhancements simply forward
of our building targets

that may assist American shift in direction of vitality independence and a cleaner,
more healthy setting.”

Charles A. Donadio Jr, Founding father of AWT stated: “That is one other milestone
for Atlantic Wind Transfers as we lay the Keel for our second crew switch
vessel at St. John’s as AWT continues to broaden its CTV fleet to help
offshore wind building and O&M within the U.S.  It was an honor
to have representatives from the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Jacksonville,
FL main the ceremony with the Keel Stamping of Hull #175 in addition to
a lot gratitude to all of the SJSB shipyard workers, Americraft Marine Group,
Chartwell Marine and all of our distributors which are supporting these vessels
by building and into service for our future shoppers.”

AWT presently operates the one two crew switch vessels within the U.S. underneath
long-term contracts, servicing the Block Island Wind Farm for Orsted and
Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind Farm (CVOW) for Dominion Power.
